Quanto Strategies (Pty) Ltd. is a fully registered South African private company wholly owned by the three directors in equal shares. It has a flat structure with each director managing his or her own affairs and areas of expertise but on an associated partnership basis. Quanto therefore does not have a formal hierarchical structure in the classic sense but rather operates as a group of partner/directors individually operating yet collaborating and sharing Intellectual Property (IP) under a common umbrella led by a Managing Director.
Should additional expertise, products, or staff be required, then Quanto obtains the required services and power by contracting in other independent consultants and companies with their specialist expertise, services, and products. This capability allows Quanto to design and provide services, products, and consultancy to suite a client’s needs.
Quanto does own IP and does use the IP of its partner companies. It protects its and its partners’ IP through directorships, shareholdings, and royalty agreements. It currently has associations with Denzo Limited in New Zealand/Australia (50% shareholding through directorship), Quotience in South Africa (shareholding through directorships), and Xelocity in New Zealand (bilateral royalty agreements). All these associations are relevant to and have a bearing on Quanto's product offerings. The Denzo partnership between Dennis Comninos and Enzo Frigenti is now in its 21st year of existence.
Quanto’s small and almost unique structure has been in place since Quanto’s inception in 2001 and has proved to be highly beneficial to Quanto and its clients allowing it to successfully deliver services and products in a focused manner internationally.
